Outlandish Theatre Platform, Irish partners in a Creative Europe small cooperations project, highlights the extraordinary contribution of women campaigners to radical social change and gender equality Outlandish Theatre Platform will highlight and launch their Creative Europe collaboration on women and representation as part of Culture Night 2020 on 18th September. Through a series of video portraits in Dublin the WoW awardees will be honoured as they voice their ideas on radical change and the future.
As Culture Night focuses on its global digital presence, Outlandish’s collaboration with its European partners is representative of the goal of enhancing local and global partnerships.
Outlandish Theatre is the Irish participant in the Women on Women arts project, funded under the Creative Europe small co-operation funding scheme. The project is led by City of Women (Slovenia) and partners with Prostor Rodne I Medijske Kulture K-Zona, (Croatia) and Tiiiit!inc -Skopje, (North Macedonia).

diverse and multicultural Europe, through a historical and contemporary
perspective – promoting girls and women’s empowerment by strengthening
their voices and participation, and providing a new model of social and
economic integration of migrant, refugee and minority groups of women.”
2020 WoW awardees: Caoimhe Butterly, human rights campaigner; Catherine Joyce, leading Traveller activist; Éadaoin Kelly, school principal and education campaigner; Marie Mulholland life-long campaigner for many social justice issues including lesbian and gay rights, gender equality and reproductive rights; and Mavis Ramazani, global citizenship educator, domestic violence survivor and single mother.
